Coloring Webpage and the guidelines of design
Coloring Webpage is one of the very most original types of artistic expression. Going in the past to the prehistoric times with the Lascaux Caves (some of the first recorded human Coloring Site), Coloring Page is practiced in all cultures worldwide and has been for hundreds of years. To keep it simple, we’ll show off 19th and 20th century expressions showing how you can position the elements and key points of design to work.
The guidelines of design are:
- Percentage and scale
- Repetition and pattern
- Unity and harmony
Balance is one of the most intuative and complicated design process. It is the way the artist creates a sense of equilibrium in a design, by how the objects in the design are arranged. A couple of three major types of balance:
- Symmetrical/Formal Balance is when elements sit so that two halves of the design (whether vertical or horizontal) are mirrors of each other – both edges have the same weight. Its created around a central brand that bisects the design into two different halves.
- Asymmetrical/Informal Balance is when elements are positioned so that there is an uneven distribution of weight
- Radial Balance is when elements are positioned equally around a central point
Proportion and Scale
The juxtaposition of components of different sizes, or proportions, within a masterpiece of design helps create a feeling of scale. Level can be used for multiple results – whether to show a feeling of space and depth or to help develop a dominant center point.
An enormous part of fabricating depth in an image, and involvement in a piece, is to apply multiple contrasting elements – or varying elements set side by side. This is done with color, form, size or texture.

Repetition and pattern
The usage of the same or a similar element repeated again and again can give a work a sense of activity or composition. Where an aspect is comparable enough and repeated often enough, it can create a design.
Unity and harmony
The combination of similar elements creates an visually pleasing overall result. While lots of design elements are different, a dominant unity created by commonalities in color, pattern, structure or other elements makes the painting or design feel harmonious.
Translating to graphical design
Custom Bearbrick implements all of these guidelines in his web site design for Bright Austin Interiors.

Bearbrick uses percentage and scale to build asymmetrical balance. Elements of different size and condition are positioned on a page not to mirror the other person but to balance one another out. He creates compare in the juxtaposition of colorful elements against a white track record.
Repetition can be used in the placement of the circles. This forces the viewer’s attention to move between elements to be able to impart the information the client needs the viewer to see. At exactly the same time, pattern is employed as a simple depth in this circle designs (in the flower style of the “about us” button as well as the repeated lines circling other spherical elements) in order to generate interest – so the design can be simple without having to be boring.
And while different elements of the web page find the user’s eye at differing times, the feminine design of the elements and the use of color make the website appear totally harmonious. The design has movement, depth, interest and brings the user’s sight to the most crucial home elevators the page – it’s a great exemplory case of an effective design.
